A Divine Meeting Of Souls

A Divine Meeting Of Souls

March 17, 2011 at 4:27pm
As much as I did not want to leave the house today I had to go run a few errands. Walking through a parking lot a man of Jamaican decent said your light is beautiful so white and bright. I shook my head and kept on walking, he said is that not how you feel? I turned and walked back to where he stood and said no it is not. My family has lost 3 young people within a 3 week period. I also felt compelled to continue, I told him I feel the energy from family, friends and things happening all over the world, like what is going on in Japan and on the continent of Africa. I told him I sometimes wish it would just stop so I could have a break because it can be some overwhelming. I oddly kept talking and I told him I am an intuitive empath with no fear of being judged from this stranger. I have dreams of things that come to pass, have felt others physical pain and outcome. I know something will happen before it happens even though I may not know exactly what or where. I reached out and hugged him and he held me tight as I said I do not know if it is a curse or a gift....

He said I know mine to be a gift as he removed his sunglasses and said he wanted me be able to look into his eyes. He asked me do you know why God gave this to you, my first response was no. He looked at me and said yes you do, I said yes because I am strong enough to take it. He slowly shook his head up and down and said yes because you can take it you are strong. He said he would never have known the torment I was in because my aura was shining brillant white light and he said it is surrounding you. Again I hugged this stranger tightly, I thanked him and walked away with tears rolling down my face......

This story is true and happened to me today, he came out of the blue as if our encounter was truly divine in nature. It came to me in a time of great need and assurance, so thank you to the powers that be and to my Jamaican angel~~~

I know that I am putting myself out there for some who will judge me and others who will not....Today I am giving myself permission to admit that this is who I am, perhaps that was the lesson I was to learn.......

Rainbows ~

Once on holiday in Galveston, Texas
There was a rainbow that ended right on the seawall at my feet
I danced like a giddy child in the streams of color

Then when my uncle passed away
I was with my family celebrating his life
There in the sky was a double rainbow

In m questions of faith and life after death
After losing my most beloved grandmother
Again unbelievably before my eyes, a double rainbow

Now here I am alone and in a quiet peaceful place
After the evenings summer rain
Without a doubt it is always there in it ethyl beauty

As if on cue everytime, as I step outside onto the lanai
I feel it is there just for me leaving me to wonder
A message perhaps whispering softly for me to stay

Maybe I am meant to be here in the place and time
So near the Gulf that tugs at my very soul
For whatever reason the rainbow seems to send a message

I am here in the place for a reason
It seems to reassure me in some way
That yes this for now is the place that I am to be

Dream Sweet Dreams ~

Last night I stroked your sleeping face
As you drifted into the shadow of dreams
I whispered into the night, sleep soundly my love

As we lay side by side
I listen to the sound of your soft steady breathing
Not wanting to break the magic of the night

Fighting off the demand of my body to sleep
I silently watch you in your slumber
Etching every detail of you in my memory

I can feel the sweet warmth of sleep approaching
So, till I awaken wrapped in your arms
Dream sweet dreams and sleep well my love

Little girls dream of their prince charming
They read Sleep Beauty and Cinderella
They wish on stars and birthday candles

Mothers say prayers for their daughters
So they will be blessed and among the few
May she be the one...to have them all come true

I made my wishes and dreamed my dreams
I waited and watched and thought all was lost
And then from a land far away...you came

You brought me my glass slipper
And your kisses broke the spell
Dreams do come true...mine have with you

In July we began as friends
Then moved on to lovers
Our tender destiny for this time and place

August came and we embraced it bravely
Our bodies and souls entwined like delicate lace
I wish my dreams could stop the hourglass of our fate

Too soon it was September and our time would end
I'll always remember it fondly and will never forget
From friends to lovers and back again

Life has its own unique dance to offer
My own is like the sea, sometimes soothing and calm
And other times with strong currents and storms

Growing together and at times apart
Through joy and laughter and broken hearts
It is all part of this dance of life we share

All of these have their purpose and meaning
It is for us to accept and understand
For that is our challenge with the offer of the dance

Let Me, Let You Go ~

Let Me, Let You Go ~ Author Shelia Felker Nov. 28, 2009

by Shelia Felker on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 9:19am

The beauty of you and the way you touched my life
As precious and lovely as anything I could have ever imagined
But for now my love let me, let you go

Nothing will ever stop the aching and yearning for more
One more touch, one more smile, one more moment to look in your eyes
Just to hold you, to see your beautiful face, but I have to let you go

To try to hold on, too long and too tight would never be right
I will hold you close in my heart and carry you with me after this life
But for now my love let me, let you go

From the moment you came into my life you brought joy and light
For all the moments in time that you were a part of of my life
You will always and forever have a treasured space in my heart

You will be with me under the shining stars at night
I will feel you on a warm summer breeze blowing over a sunlit sea
Together again someday we shall be, but for now my angel...fly free

Precious Life

Life can change in a bright beautiful twinkle of an eye

Or in a most brutal life changing way

In all of it, we are to learn

The precious moments should be treasured

Precious moments are each and every moment

To know every single moment is dear and fragile

Do not just sit there and watch it all go by

In the twinkle of an eye, it can all change

So love and embrace every moment in this time

Finger Prints ~

The fingerprints of our lives

Will never fade away

For each life that we touch

We effect or perhaps change

 With every impression made

May it leave a sweet warm memory

The empression left will never change

Make each and every fingerprint count

Let the lives that you touch

Remember you fondly

It is up to you

So let them be remembered well

Going Back To School

I arrived on August the 7th 2012 to Cuenca and Ecuador.  I would wonder around the streets taking tons of pictures of the buildings the sky and the amazing doors here.  Very large ornate doors with these old world latches that I fell in love with.  My love affair with Cuenca and Ecuador was on big time.  The tears that I shed were wonderful tears detoxing me and cleansing me from my old life and renewing myself in this new life.  It was a wonderful magical experience unlike anything I have ever experienced in my life.  I felt alive, this new awakening of life and feeling everything again, especially to feel alive again and not emotionally numb was enough to bring on the tears of joy and love.

The Ecuadorian people are so loving and accepting with warm smiles on their faces when smiling back at me was such a new experience.  After living in the U.S. all my life and my experience with people there being so different this is a breath of fresh air.  That first month passed quickly and was shear magic and it turned into September I knew that I was home to be sure.  I was in my apartment one night and at 8pm there was a knock on my door.  I thought to myself who could that be and as I opened my door there stood my apartment manager and he does not live in the building.  Juan said there are some people down stairs and I do not know if you want to talk to them or if you are interested.  I thought I wonder what this is about and I said sure not knowing what was coming.  I went down stairs and there were two Ecuadorian women standing there and they said hello and introduced their selves to me.  Well as it turned out they were from the school across the street from my apartment just a few doors down and were looking for a North American to volunteer at the school helping the students with English.  I did not hesitate and said sure I would love to!  I started the very next day and what a wonderful experience to have fall in my lap!  I did not know then that it was one of many wonderful experiences to come my way.  I do not have children of my own but here in this place in time I am blessed with many children.  The children at school range in age from 1st grade to the oldest, I adore my children and love seeing them on the streets and having them come up and wrap me in their arms and caring on conversations that I really can not keep up with but it is just so natural and are hearts are one in the same so communication is not so important because there is love.

I will be attending graduation of the oldest children on July the 4th, I am like a proud parent of these children and they all hold a special place in my heart and always will.

Quito ~

I could see the lights on the ground as we made our way into Quito I had no fear of anything just excitement.  I made my way off the plane and through immigration with no problem.  I had rented a luggage cart for I think a quarter and had my large pieces of luggage and my carry on that was over weight so they had put it in with all the other luggage for me.  I made my way outside to the sounds of Quito.

There was a lot of traffic and as I stepped out in the front of the airport I hear lady lady!  I looked over and their were people lined up and this small lady hailing me.  She came over a grabbed the luggage cart and demanded to know when I was flying out and what I needed.  She was so strong for such a little lady I could hardly keep up with her!  She took me back into the airport on the other side and helped me get my boarding pass for the next morning.  Then she hustled me off across the lanes of traffic to a side street.  I looked around and there were street vendors cooking yummy smelling food and people were looking at the wide eyed gringa.  She took me first to a hostel but after saying that I wanted a bathroom in the room off we went to a small old hotel up the street.  She got me checked in and all my luggage in the room and promised to return the next morning, I tipped her and she was gone into the dark.

I managed to get a couple of hours sleep and was up by 4am while I sat and moved things from one suitcase into another and waited.  I had seen another Ecuadorian family checking in the night before and as I peeped out the door I saw them coming across the parking lot.  I was in luck as there were 3 of them so I called them over and somehow managed to get their assistance to help me with all my luggage to go to the airport as they were heading that way as well.  I got to the airport and to my surprise it was packed and the way the lines went I was really confused.  It made no sense to me but I now understand that is just the way it is here.  I got through the customs check and into the right line to board the plane.  Once we boarded it was off to Cuenca my new home.

It was a short flight of less than an hour and arriving in Cuenca once again there was the rush for the luggage carts and the mound of suitcases.  I got through and saw my ride that was picking me up and we exchanged hellos and loaded my suitcases in his car.  He took me for a short drive through El Centro and then brought me to my apartment.  I moved straight into my first apartment in my new country.  It was a very sweet little apartment and my first taste of Ecuador living.  I started to unpack a little but my desire to walk around the city was to much. So myself, my neighbor and apartment manager set out for a little tour.  It was magical from the very first day and now 9 months later I am even more in love with this country than ever.  So much for the honeymoon period, it has not stopped for me and I do not think it ever will...

Part II From The Beginning ~

When I arrived in Texas with no idea of what the future held as I was following my guides and knew this was the next step.  I stayed in Dallas for about a week seeing friends and driving around through the old neighborhood.  I drove by our old house and I went around the area by the high school and of course around White Rock Lake as I have many memories of the lake and Flag Pole Hill.   It was a nice to revisit the old memories in Dallas.

I started looking for an apartment on the internet and found one in San Marcos over a B & B.  So off to San Marcos I went knowing full well that I was heading off into my future ready for anything that was to come.  It is an amazing experience to live life like that, not knowing and not caring because you just know you are going where you are supposed to be.  You are awake and listening to the universe and saying yes to whatever the future has in store.

I settled in to the Inn and started working weddings and other events there.  It was hard work but it was work and I enjoyed it.  Life in San Marcos was good and I really love the Hill Country of Texas, it is very beautiful.  I was sitting in my room on the computer one day and the message came through for me to join a dating site LOL.  I said out loud really?  I do not date!  The message was very clear and came again, so I said Ok and I joined.  It was not so bad and I went on a few dates and motorcycle rides through the Hill Country that were really wonderful.  As a month of so went by I met this man from Texas that was living in Ecuador!  I said Ecuador....really this is my next stop?

I researched it and said ok Ecuador it is then!  I made my plans and booked my ticket and on August 6th 2012 my plane left Miami headed for Ecuador. I remember that flight well as I looked out the window as the sun was setting and watching the sun sink into a white cloud bank.  I have seen many sunsets over the ocean and witnessed the green flash, but this was brilliant as the clouds turned gold in color.  I remember having this feeling in my chest and I thought what is that?  Then it hit me, it was joy and happiness that I had not experienced in such a long time!  As a tear slid down my face the sun said goodnight and slid behind the gold clouds.  Next stop Quito, Ecuador ~

From the beginning ~

Welcome to E.J.'s journey!

For six years my message was clear "I was going to leave Florida and when I did I would not have to come back and that I would go to Texas, but not to Dallas where I had gone to high school"  Well I had no idea what that meant as all of my family is in Florida.  Not until the end of 2011 did the pieces start coming together.

My family is not a close one as many families are not that is not a new story by any means.  I woke up on the 19th of Nov. in 2011 at 5am and thought oh no, by 6:30am I was crying but the call did not come until 8:30am.  My little brother had an accident and broke his neck, he fell at 5am that morning.  I packed a bag and took off to go to where they live.  Come to find out he had been sick with MRSA for over a year, he has a teenage son and it is just the two of them.  It was touch and go that week and at the end of week my other brother thought he should throw me around a little which was normal behavior.  I was not surprised as I said "normal" for my family and others.  So the next morning my mother asked me to leave which I did, I ran back to my safe haven on the other side of the state.

Two weeks later I had my answer to the first part of my message as to leaving Florida and not having to come back.  My mother called and she said that she appreciated what I had been trying to do, (fundraiser, getting new appliances for my brothers house etc.) however they did not "want" me or "need" me!  I do not think she understood what she was doing at the moment but it was not lost on me, I was grinning from ear to ear!  I knew what this meant she had set me free, completely free once and for all!   I suppose I should have been hurt as that would be the natural reaction but I knew the real meaning for me and that was all I needed.  I rented out my house and stayed with my Aunt for a couple of months and then hit the road bound for Texas and the next clue in my journey.  I crossed the Texas state line on my birthday February 9th, 2012, I just turned 51 years old and so it begins.

Ciao for now ~

First post from E.J. ~

I am just starting to blog again and under a new name!  I need to get everything set up but I wanted to say hello and to share with you a little about this journey.

So much has happened in my life since I was blogging under Shelia Harris Life Everyday.  I am now living in Cuenca, Ecuador, and I have been here for seis meses (6 months).  My life is completely unbelievable to me and to others.  I keep getting told I need to write a book and I have started one but we will see how that goes LOL.   The most I have ever done is blog, but this journey that I am on is a magical mystery tour to be certain.  I struggled to describe this whole adventure and the only way to describe it at this point is that I was guided on this journey and I still am.  Others and myself have some similar experiences, it is like madre (mother) Ecuador is calling her children home.  We have felt the call or the draw to be here and when we did get here we felt that we were home.  We have gone through the detox of our previous lives in the U.S. and feel amazing in this new and different life and the place we now call home.

Ciao for now ~
