As you drifted into the shadow of dreams
I whispered into the night, sleep soundly my love
As we lay side by side
I listen to the sound of your soft steady breathing
Not wanting to break the magic of the night
Fighting off the demand of my body to sleep
I silently watch you in your slumber
Etching every detail of you in my memory
I can feel the sweet warmth of sleep approaching
So, till I awaken wrapped in your arms
Dream sweet dreams and sleep well my love
